Pros:-
1) There is less expectation on you. You can make mistakes and be forgiven easily. Can take this 1 year opportunity as a training ground.
2) For those who is unsure on the preferred job. In our case, casino is fixed but there are still few departments available for us to try out before deciding which one we want to develop our career.
3) "Back to schooling days". More friends, more flexibility, more training. Joining as an executive means you are given that particular portfolio, there might not be many people standing by your side and there might be very hard to switch department.
4) You do not have the experience to join as executive. For other areas, I think joining as executive is not a problem but for example in casino, I think management trainee is the only way to start. I think it's hard to get into executive position, i.e supervisor before learning from scratch.
Cons:-
1) Stupid contract
2) Cheap labour pay
3) Lousy benefits
4) Victim of being bullied
